Habitat for Humanity

Temple Shir Shalom will be helping Habitat for Humanity on May 21st. We will need 15-20 volunteers to help build a house for a local family. Please contact Jennifer Hall (happyjen68@gmail.com) if you are interested in participation. We need adults (over 18 for this one). Also, Habitat for Humanity is having a "donate your spare change" campaign to help build a house. So everyone save those extra coins each week and we will donate them on the day we go to help build a house. Volunteers for Habitat can be 16 and 17 with a parent or a waiver.

Temple Shir Shalom's Caring Team

The Temple Shir Shalom Caring Team is made up of several members whose goal is to reach out to Temple members during a medical, physical, or emotional time of need. The team, along with other Temple members, help with visiting members at home or in the hospital, preparing meals, scheduling light housecleaning or laundry, running errands, transporting children to activities and Temple services, and making phone calls to provide support. If you or another Temple member is in need of physical or emotional support, please contact our Caring Team at WeCare@templeshirshalom.org or call Randy Miller at 407-808-8585. She will discuss your needs with you to determine how best to provide support.

Women of Temple Shir Shalom Stand with Nashot HaKotel, Women of the Wall

On Yom Kippur, the Women of Temple Shir Shalom, donning tallitot, took pictures holding the Torah in support of Nashot HaKotel, The Women of the Wall.
Below are some of the pictures we took. Feel free to go to the Women of the Wall website and upload your own pictures on their Take A Stand page.
