Fundraising Concert featuring Guest Artist, Julie Silver  



A Night of Stars - Benefit Concert featuring Julie Silver, Beth Schafer and band

On Saturday, November 21st, 2009 the Central Florida community will be treated to a benefit concert featuring national recording artists Beth Schafer and Julie Silver at the Hilton, Altamonte Springs. in Orlando.  The concert will benefit the permanent home fund of Temple Shir Shalom of Oviedo as well as the Pearlman Food Pantry located at the Jewish Family Services. 

The evening will begin at 7:00pm with a silent auction and hors d’oeuvres.  Havdalah and concert will start at 8:00pm and feature the singing and songwriting talents of two of the most influential performers in today’s contemporary Jewish music.  Beth Schafer resides in Orlando and is currently working on a new album with her dynamic band of almost 10 years.  Her music focuses on universal themes that not only define Judaism, but many other faiths as well.  Julie Silver is one of the most celebrated and beloved performers in the world of contemporary Jewish music today.  She tours throughout the world, and has been engaging audiences with her lyrical guitar playing and her dynamic stage presence for over twenty years.  She currently resides in Southern California.

In addition to this concert, Beth, her band, and Julie will be opening the 2009 URJ National Biennial in Toronto, this fall. They will bring their combined talents and spirit to the stage for this special Orlando event not to be missed.
